First, we do not currently have membership dues. This may change in the future if the membership begins to grow, but right now FWC is intended as a network for writers looking for venues to sell their work, and find writing resources.

Second, the current members are in the Washington D.C.-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) region. While we do events around the region, we're not opposed to having members outside the region. If you are not in the DMV area, and would like to join, we're happy to post events going on in your area as they come up. We may not be able to join you, but we'll cheer you on from the DMV.

Third, we do ask that you're a published/or soon to be published author. This is so we can advertise your works on the site, and so you have something to sell at conventions and book fairs. If you need help getting to this point, feel free to contact us with questions, or to set up a workshop.
